Welcome to the Mile High JACL

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

— Margaret Mead

Founded in 1929, the National Japanese American Citizen’s League (JACL) is the largest and oldest civil rights organization in the country focused on Americans of Japanese ancestry. Our mission is uphold and secure the civil rights of Japanese Americans and all Americans, while preserving the cultural heritage of our people.

The Mile High JACL chapter was established in 1938 and has been active in civil rights movements ever since. We hope you join us in our mission to educate the greater Denver metro area about Japanese American history and promote cultural awareness and participation!
